Call for Papers

We are now accepting articles (c.3000-5000 words), book reviews (c.1000-1500 words) and short pieces (c.500-1500) for our next issue on all topics relating to classics, ancient history, archaeology, and late antiquity.

Deadline: accepting abstracts, no current deadline (18/08/2023)

For submissions relating to late antiquity and the Near East, alternatively consider visiting our sister journal, diogenes.bham.ac.uk – currently accepting papers.

If there are books you would like to review but do not have access to, please email us and we can contact the publisher and arrange a copy. The book must have been published within the last 2 years, and your review must be complete in time for the submission deadline.

Short piece submissions can include: Museum or conference reports; archaeological summaries, relevant theatre or film reviews; or notes.

All topics relating to the ancient world considered, including but not limited to; Assyriology and Egyptology; Ancient History and Classics; Archaeology and Visual & Spatial Technologies; Heritage Management; Conservation and Museum Studies.

This journal is an online, electronic journal and is free to view; we welcome submissions from any related area.
